Happy Halloween!

My little witch and little monster!

On our way to the neighborhood potluch

After trick or treating

They were headed to their last house here

AC after trick or treating
We had a blast this Halloween.  We love our neighborhood!  I love that our neighbors all love to hang out with each other.  We had a lot of fun hanging out pre-trick or treating.  Amelia enjoyed a hayride with all the neighborhood kids.  I made AC stay behind.  She should be big enough next year.  I went back home to hand out candy while Drew took them to get candy.  Good thing they are small and only went to a few house because I way over bought candy this year, and we have enough left over for next Halloween!  I loved handing out candy though.  I put on the Pandora Halloween station.  When the girls got back, AC had a blast dancing to the music while Amelia loved helping me hand out candy.  What we were worried would turn out to be a night ruined by storms actually turned into the perfect Halloween night.  I am already looking forward to next year!

Tuesdays with my girls!

I took the girls to story time at Barnes and Noble this morning.  I was so excited, AC sat on the bench like a big girl, so I had to get a photo.  It went downhill from there!  She decided she wanted to get a little closer, so when I didn't let her, the meltdown began.  Amelia was upset to miss story time, so she stayed while me and AC watched from a distance.

That afternoon, we took Lucy for her first walk.  She did really well.  She really wanted to chew on the leash at first, but finally got over that.

We be swinging!

Daddy worked all weekend and got the girls playset put together!  They are in heaven!  I didn't get a good photo of the whole thing.  I did get a video of Amelia's reaction.  It is like Christmas!  I have been wanting them to have a playset for so long, but it really didn't make sense in Greenville.

Amelia seeing it all put together for the first time

She really does love it
Amelia is having to use the big kid swing now, and she really isn't very excited about that but she will get used to it!

I don't let AC on the couch very often and only if I can sit right there with her.  She is crazy on the couch.  It becomes her own little trampoline.  But, I thought it was cute how she wanted to stand there right beside Amelia.

Family Traditions

This is the last weekend in October.  The last weekend of all the fun fall activities.  Our family has a yearly hayride.  I have missed several since we moved, so I was excited to be back and to for sure make the hayride this year.  I selfishly do wish it was a different weekend.  Our church was having trunk or treat today and I was really wanting to take the girls.  But, I really am excited to see all of my family!  We started the day by working on the girls playset and ended with the hayride.  We had a great time.  I was a little stressed with the fire and the metal trash can of burning trash, but everyone survived without injury!  It is really difficult having such an energetic 1 year old who knows no fear!  The temperature was perfect, and we all had a great time!

pumpkin decorating

When we were in Greenville last weekend, we visited some friends that had some "potato head" pumpkins on their front porch.  They were the cutest things I have seen for pumpkins.  So, I stole this from them!
Getting ready to decorate our pumpkins

Our witch pumpkin.  How cute is that!
Our skeleton pumpkin!

So glad we can do this year after year!  I just think they are adorable!  Amelia helped quite a bit.  Anna Claire just wanted to steal our tools!

Whose the boss!

Tonight as I was cooking dinner, this is what else was going on in my kitchen!  Anna Claire was having as much fun pushing Amelia as Amelia was being pushed!

Jumping is fun

Anna Claire is big enough to constantly want to be on the couch to play, but not quite big enough that she needs to be on the couch playing.  When I do allow her to be on the couch, I am constantly saying, no and on your bottom.  Thank goodness she can't get up there on her own yet.  But, when she does get so lucky to be on the cough, she is the happiest girl in the world!  There is a lot of squealing going on!
Is that a happy face or what!  This is mid jump

And a cute photo of my big girl from today!

Getting Lucy

The time has finally come for us to get Lucy!  We are so excited!  We left Friday afternoon and met some of our friends in Greenville.  We finally got to see everyone this time that we didn't get to see last time.  We really do miss our Greenville friends!  Saturday was laid back.  We drove to see a few friends and then helped to set up for the trick or treat trails that some friends of ours from church put on every year.  I was so excited to get the girls in their costumes.  But, we were heading home as soon as they finished trick or treating, so we decided not to worry with costumes.  They didn't know any different and we all had a lot of fun!  Lucy did great on the ride home.  No accidents in the car, which made me really happy since I was the one holding her.  We were worn out though.  Today, we went to church and had a lazy afternoon playing with Lucy and getting her more comfortable with us.
Afternoon nap on the way to get Lucy

We went to visit our friend, Denecia.  Anna Claire loved playing in this basket.

Of course, Amelia couldn't be left out of the fun!

play days

We finally made it to the zoo Monday.  Unfortunately, some surrounding county must have been on fall break because it was crazy crowded!  Luckily we got there early and made it out before it got too crowded!

Today, it is pretty cool outside, so we just played around inside the house.  Daddy took us on a lunch date to McAllisters.  I let Amelia wear her tutu skirt because I thought why night.  She was in heaven with her girly self!  She is such a sweet girl.  Anytime we hangout with a new friend, she will say they are her best friend.  Well this week we were climbing the stairs.  She was beside Anna Claire and I was behind them, and she looked at Anna Claire and says, you're my best friend Anna Claire.  It was so sweet!  I hope they grow up to be good friends!

Fall celebrations

Yesterday was the end of fall break.  Even though everyday is playday for us, I wanted to do something fun with the girls this week.  We had a lot of fun playing with Chloe.  My sister got back from her trip yesterday, so Chloe left us.  It was a little sad, but we will be getting Lucy in another week so we will be full of puppy love soon!  I had been wanting to take the girls to the zoo all week.  We decided to wait for Drew to be able to go, so we decided Friday afternoon.  Unfortunately we made it to the zoo at 5:05 and the gates closed at 5.  Amelia was devastated!  I was not too happy myself, but we were scrambling to find something else to do, and there really isn't much family activities past 5.  We decided to just go get the things we needed for Lucy and grab some dinner.  At least they were able to see fish, cats and guinea pigs.  They were happy!

Today, we decided to take the girls to the pumpkin patch.  We had a groupon to Priddy Farms.  It was perfect for the girls.  I think next year I will take them back to cedar hill farms.  But, Priddy Farms was perfect for Anna Claire.
Cute "train" ride.  Anna Claire wanted to ride so bad but there was no strap.  If she wasn't so much of a daredevil we may have let her try.

On the hayride to go get their pumpkins

Amelia loved the sandbox

They had so much fun.  They weren't too fond of posing for pictures, but this was a cute photo op.

Anna Claire loved playing in the cozy coupe

It took a lot of coaxing to get Amelia on this boat, but she was happy once she got up there.

We then made a quick trip to Chick fil a just as the rain clouds rolled in.  We had a great Saturday!

Finally fall!

I am in heaven with this wonderful fall weather.  We have to take advantage of this wonderful weather.  We started the day taking Chloe for a walk.  We then headed to the park.  I really expected it to be packed, since it is fall break.  But, according to facebook, everyone is in Florida.  We had the park to ourselves.  We had a great time.  Anna Claire can finally go down the slide solo.  It is so much fun taking them now!

This is Anna Claire saying "why can't I play with the water bowl!"
We decided it was time to go get some mums and do some more fall decorating.  Amelia loved helping me pick them out.  We are looking forward to many more fun fall days!

Go Vols!

Today, Drew went to help a friend work on their hunting camp, so it was just me and the girls.  We went to watch my nephew play football.  Their team won!  Yay!  We then went to eat lunch with Grandmomma and Granddaddy at Off the Hoof.  It was then naptime!
Brady is the one closest to us.

We then watched the Vols play Georgia.  I really had low expectations but I now feel like there is hope for us!  Good thing because Amelia thinks she is a Mississippi fan, so we need some good games to help brain wash her!
Even though she is a little confused.  I did have them both cheering for the right team!

We then went to meet our friends for dinner and ice cream.  The girls got a little crazy with the sugar rush.  Luckily Baskin Robbins was pretty empty!
Checking out the ice cream cakes.  Now all Amelia says is I get rainbow cake for my birthday.  I'm like ok, less work for mommy!

Crazy girls on a sugar high!  It was madness at the baskin robbins that night.  I am sure they were glad to see us go!

Our day ended with my sister bringing her dog Chloe to stay with us for the week!  We are on dog sitting duty.  The girls are going to have a blast.  I just hope Chloe can handle the madness of our house!
