Happy Easter!

The Easter bunny came to see the girls!
AC was clueless, but Amelia was very excited to come see what the Easter bunny brought
It didn't take long for her to realize there were yummy treats to find

Our after church photo session.  My girls are so cute!  And my husband is a great photographer!
 All the cousins
Looking for eggs.  Hoping to find the "golden one"
 Just happy to find eggs
She found a lot of eggs!

We had a great Easter Sunday.  We had planned to go to our church, but decided last minute that we could make it to my parent's church.  They were excited we were there.  After church, we headed to my mom's house for lunch.  While the girls napped, we all headed outside (my mom stayed with the girls) and practiced with my niece and nephews bow and arrows.  I had never shot (or whatever you call it) a bow before.  But, I was the only one to hit the center of the hay.  That was pretty exciting.  After naps, we took the girls on an egg hunt.  They loved finding all the candy.  They are so spoiled!

Easter Eve

The girls and I spent our Saturday morning dying our Easter eggs for the Easter bunny.

We planted our flowers this morning, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures of my cute girls!

A little fun on the play set after their photo session.

Easter Egg hunt

Our church had their Easter egg hunt on the Sunday before Easter.  I wasn't very excited about the 2:00 start time.  Especially since we had to wake the girls up from their nap.  But, we had a great time, and they finished their nap once we got home, so score for all of us!

Amelia and her friend Maggie Lynn checking out the loot.

Looking like she is ready to get started already
She would only get the pink and purple eggs.  I had coached her the whole way there that each egg had candy so don't be a color snob.  Is it a bad thing that she already ignores my advice?!

Anna Claire didn't mind so much what the color was, she just wanted to get in those eggs!

Looking for her loot!

She didn't mind a little extra help.  There was a crazy amount of eggs.
We have yet to play on our church playground, but it was so much fun!  I don't know how well you can see the twisty slide, but the girls loved going down it.  AC bounced the whole way down, and her face was priceless her first trip down.

Our little gymnast in training!
I think she was having a good time!  We will definitely be hanging out there more now that it is finally warm!

I want melmo!

A few weeks ago, Anna Claire started talking about Melmo all the time.  I'm not sure how she learned of him.  We haven't watched Sesame street lately, or really ever.  I'm guessing the sitters house.  But, it is so cute that she says Melmo.  Amelia always called him Melmo too, and she was just as in love with him as Anna Claire is.  I did a search last night and found that Sesame street live will be in Memphis in June, so be expecting that blog in a few months!  I am so excited!!!  We don't have as good of tickets this time, but they are pretty good!  We could have gotten better but we did the preshow photo session for Amelia's bday, so I didn't see the need in doing that again.  I guess they save the better seats for those who pay for that package.

Fun in Memphis

So weird, I am really behind in blogging.  I am trying to play catch up today.  But, I have made 2 posts from my phone, and they are not on here.  So, weird!

We bought bikes for me and Drew along with a cart for the girls.  We have been riding a few times around the neighborhood, but I am not a fan riding in the streets, so today, we decided to load up and head to Shelby Farms.  I am so glad we did!  We had a blast.  Usually Drew pulls the girls, but today he was so kind as to attach them to my bike.  Oh my goodness 70+#s is really tough on those hills!  I will definitely be feeling that for a few days!  Luckily, I've been doing my T25 workout or I wouldn't have made it.  But, after our ride around Shelby Farms, we took the girls to the playground.  So much fun!  This is definitely one of my favorite places in Memphis.

First time down the slide.  Riding with daddy

Sisters racing.

Fun on the bigger slide

Experimenting with different ways of going down.

Officially a big girl!  No need for help from mommy and daddy!
We will definitely be doing this more often!  The girls were not excited to leave, but we were hungry.  We headed to Jim n Nicks then home for naps.  The girls took a 4 hour nap.  It was fantastic!  So thankful for warmer days!

Lunch date with daddy

We started the morning with a jog with our friends Julie and Isaac.  We haven't seen them all winter.  It was fun catching up and seeing how much Isaac has grown.  Amazing how much things change in 5 months!  We then went home to play in the sun.  Amelia thoroughly enjoyed picking flowers and playing in the mud.  Anna Claire mostly enjoyed just running around.  I enjoyed getting out my camera and taking a few shots of my girls.

You know its a good time when the knees are covered in mud.

They love to explore the garden.
After our fun in the mud, we invited daddy to go with us on a quick lunch date.  So, off to Vinegar Jim's we headed.  I love our little local Arlington restaurant.

Diva #3 couldn't be left out.
That evening, I had a date night with Amelia.  We had a meeting at church with some other ladies.  They did a devotional and then we all watched frozen on the big screen.  It was the cutest thing ever.  I have no pictures, but the little ones all wore their pjs, we had snacks and there was a lot of singing and dancing going on, along with the random running around the gym.  We had one hyper little girl on our hand.  Drew and Anna Claire had their on fun going to get ice cream.
