Yummy goodness

When Anna Claire was a baby eating nothing but yucky formula, I would always promise to her that it would get better.  Well, I held up on my promise, and little girl loves to eat.  Both of my girls ate all of their dinner tonight (which included broccoli), so we took them for a little treat.

Mommy and daddy got a treat too (probably part of the reason why I have gained weight while doing t25 rather than losing), but we aren't cute enough for a photo.

Today is Aunt Sharon's birthday.  On our way to her house for the party, I turn around, and Anna Claire is busy having a little conversation with her Aunt Sharon.

We had a lot of fun celebrating Sharon's birthday.  They turned on the fire pit, and we made smores.  They were yummy!

Drew and I recently bought some bikes.  Trying to find some more things to do as a family, and get a little exercise in at the same time.  Well, Amelia was heart broken that she didn't get a bike too.  I really think she is ready, but daddy thinks she needs to show more interested in riding a bike.  Well, tonight when I went to go get her at the sitters house, she showed us she was ready.

Our sitter found a really good deal on bikes, so in order to have things for the kids to do, she bought a few.  Amelia rode for the first time today.  She loved it!  I think she will be getting a big girl bike soon!  If only I could find as good of a deal as Nina!

Fun at the zoo

It is a beautiful day!  Yay!  I decided to take the girls to the zoo.  I decided that we would go a different way today.  We always have our same route and never go to the farm.  So, we headed that way first.  Anna Claire loved it.  She wanted to touch all the animals.  Amelia is not so much of a fan anymore.  She used to love the petting zoo, now she's a bit squeamish.

We had a lot of fun.  The animals were being a little lazy that day.  But, it was nice to get out and feel the sunshine!

Snow day #2

We got more snow/ice last night.  It was a bit crazy last night listening to the ice hit, and hearing trees fall around us.  I was so glad that my job cancelled us before we went to bed, so I didn't have to worry about that.  I was just then praying for us not to lose power!  We woke up to a winter wonderland.  But, boy was it slick.  Amelia loved sliding across the drive way.  We used our trash can top to sled down the hill across the street from us.  We definitely made the most of our snow day.  But, to be honest with you.  I would quickly trade it for 75 degrees right now!

These are our neighbors.  I was just glad to see we aren't the biggest rednecks in the neighborhood!  I was a little jealous that we don't have our 4 wheeler anymore!

Hopefully this is the last of the snow days for this winter season!

Happy birthday, Blake Leigh!

Several weeks ago, Amelia went to her first painting party for one of her friends at church. It was so much fun! I was nervous with the number of 3 year olds but it went well. 

The artist hard at work! It was very hard for me to just sit back and let her do it on her own. I guided her with the outline but then decided it didn't have to be perfect. She had a lot more fun once mommy quit trying to control!

Afterwards my friend Courtney and I took the girls to eat lunch. Amelia solo is easy. Amelia with a friend, not so much. I think it will be a little while before we go on anymore friend lunch outings unless it's  to chick fil a or somewhere more kid friendly! 

That night my parents came and watched the girls so drew and I could have a valentines date. We went to the butcher shop and it was yummy! Love date nights with the hubby!
