My baby girl is all grown up!
It is a BIG day in the Ellis household! For the first time in almost 4 years, we are officially paci free! AC lost her "bapi" last night cause she was not a good girl. She did great without it, she didn't wake up asking for it. So, I decided to give it a try without the bapi. She asked for it after our morning play date. She was exhausted but we made it through it ok. And she wanted it tonight. I just told her that they went bye bye to go be with another little girl and that she would be fine without it. She was sad. But there were no tears and she is sleeping just fine. Yay!!!!! She seemed like such a bigger girl today.

No longer a baby
My baby girl is no longer a baby! I decided that it was finally time to change her crib to a toddler bed. So Sunday drew took care of that for me. I was so nervous about her falling out. The last time we tried she fell out 30 minutes in to her nap and wouldn't get back in. But she has done so well. She went 4 nights without falling out but broke the trend last night. Around 9 pm we heard a loud bang, but no crying. Drew and I were like awesome, she just got back in bed. Around 2 am I woke up in a panic thinking what if something bad happened. I mean that's kind of weird to fall out of the bed and not cry. So I go running up the stairs. I open the door and she is on the floor. My heart stopped for a second and I ran and touched and she moved. She was fine but had decided the floor would do just fine for the night. Scared me to death! I just let her stay there. I figured no sense in waking her up. She use to be so difficult to get back to sleep. I joked with her a little today about falling out. She laughed the first time but I think it hurt her feelings the next time. But I told her before bed, baby if you fall out of your bed just get back in. She said ok. So about 10 minutes ago. Loud bang. I'm still up so I go check on her. She got back in bed! No crying! Such a big girl!

Our little sneaky girl!
So, yes, I realize I am crazy behind on my posts. Life is crazy busy right now. We are non-stop on the go, and loving every minute of it! But, I just had to share this before I forget. Last night, Drew was grilling out burgers. The girls and I were hanging out with him. Amelia says, Daddy where is your ring. I said to Drew, man she is really observant. (Feeling so proud of her, just like her mommy). So then Drew explains why he isn't wearing a ring (which I actually hadn't noticed, my skills are leaving me!). Well, tonight, Drew says, Stacy have you seen my ring. I remembered that Amelia had asked about his ring yesterday and knew that was just too suspicious. So, of course Amelia knew exactly where his ring was. She had found it and hid it in our couch! Crazy girl. She was trying to mess with him yesterday, but neither of us were concerned enough to pick up on it.

Happy Easter!
The Easter bunny came to see the girls!
AC was clueless, but Amelia was very excited to come see what the Easter bunny brought
It didn't take long for her to realize there were yummy treats to find
Our after church photo session. My girls are so cute! And my husband is a great photographer!
All the cousins
Looking for eggs. Hoping to find the "golden one"
Just happy to find eggs
She found a lot of eggs!
We had a great Easter Sunday. We had planned to go to our church, but decided last minute that we could make it to my parent's church. They were excited we were there. After church, we headed to my mom's house for lunch. While the girls napped, we all headed outside (my mom stayed with the girls) and practiced with my niece and nephews bow and arrows. I had never shot (or whatever you call it) a bow before. But, I was the only one to hit the center of the hay. That was pretty exciting. After naps, we took the girls on an egg hunt. They loved finding all the candy. They are so spoiled!

Easter Eve
The girls and I spent our Saturday morning dying our Easter eggs for the Easter bunny.
We planted our flowers this morning, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures of my cute girls!
A little fun on the play set after their photo session.

Easter Egg hunt
Our church had their Easter egg hunt on the Sunday before Easter. I wasn't very excited about the 2:00 start time. Especially since we had to wake the girls up from their nap. But, we had a great time, and they finished their nap once we got home, so score for all of us!
Amelia and her friend Maggie Lynn checking out the loot.
Looking like she is ready to get started already
She would only get the pink and purple eggs. I had coached her the whole way there that each egg had candy so don't be a color snob. Is it a bad thing that she already ignores my advice?!
Anna Claire didn't mind so much what the color was, she just wanted to get in those eggs!
Looking for her loot!
She didn't mind a little extra help. There was a crazy amount of eggs.
We have yet to play on our church playground, but it was so much fun! I don't know how well you can see the twisty slide, but the girls loved going down it. AC bounced the whole way down, and her face was priceless her first trip down.
Our little gymnast in training!
I think she was having a good time! We will definitely be hanging out there more now that it is finally warm!

I want melmo!
A few weeks ago, Anna Claire started talking about Melmo all the time. I'm not sure how she learned of him. We haven't watched Sesame street lately, or really ever. I'm guessing the sitters house. But, it is so cute that she says Melmo. Amelia always called him Melmo too, and she was just as in love with him as Anna Claire is. I did a search last night and found that Sesame street live will be in Memphis in June, so be expecting that blog in a few months! I am so excited!!! We don't have as good of tickets this time, but they are pretty good! We could have gotten better but we did the preshow photo session for Amelia's bday, so I didn't see the need in doing that again. I guess they save the better seats for those who pay for that package.
